Back Country starts with heavy duty 16 gauge steel tubing that is immersed in a phosphorous chemical bath, hot-dip galvanized, electrostatically e-coated with primer, and finished off with a final application of semi-gloss black powder coat. That's a total of 4 layers of corrosion protection compared to most black bars that are produced with only one single layer of powder coat!

While these bars won't give you the rust resistance of stainless steel, their performance far exceeds lesser quality bars at the same price. In the Midwest, this was the only black bar that would withstand the winter. Bars that only have a powder coated finish would begin to rust after their first winter. These bars come with a full five year warranty.
